Book measures:- 25.4 x 19.2 cm

Paperback with silk-screening on exposed spine, made from FSC certified paper and card.

Signed by the artist himself, this lavishly illustrated paperback with exposed spine detail accompanied the first UK retrospective of Olafur Eliasson's work in 2019 at Tate Modern.

This catalogue is conceived as an illustrated ‘field guide’ to his practice, featuring an essay by curator Mark Godfrey, as well as a range of short dialogues with a strikingly varied range of people working both inside and outside the arts – from anthropology, economics, political science, and biology to architecture and urbanism, dance, music, and food – the book provides readers with a ‘compass’ to Eliasson’s thinking.

For three decades, Olafur Eliasson (b.1967) has created an artistic practice driven by his interests in perception, colour, movement, and the interaction of people and their environments. Eliasson’s work engages the broader public sphere through works spanning the fields of sculpture, painting, photography, film, and installation. In 1995 he founded Studio Olafur Eliasson, which today comprises more than one hundred team members.

Mark Godfrey (Writer) is Senior Curator, International Art, Tate Modern.

Each book has been hand signed on the spine.
